  I went here recently on a date and then realised I'd been here once before with an old work colleague when I was rather drunk and ended up speaking Spanish to an old guy who's a Lark Lane original. Luckily, we knew each other, so it didn't matter so much that I can only speak Spanish when I'm drunk...
  
  Back to the date. We were, in my opinion, incredibly boring because we order exactly the same food and wine. We had the Merlot, which was lovely, especially considering I've been a bit off my red wine since an embarrassing drunken incident at Christmas. We had both ordered enchiladas, (at least it was something like that - burritos or something - the wine must've kicked in at this point) and when they came they were so hot that we couldn't touch them or the plates for a good five maybe ten minutes. Unfortunately because of the heat of the plates the side salad was hot, and I like my salad to be cold, but I ate it anyway.
  
  When the food was finally edible, it was delicious. If I hadn't've been on a date I would've scoffed it in 2 minutes flat, but I was attempting to be ladylike and refined. Ahem. Definitely coming back here again. The service was great, the staff lovely and the atmosphere really cosy and welcoming. I didn't get a chance to see the desserts because he got the bill while I was powdering my nose, but I plan to go back soon and sample a few more things off the menu!

  I had an old friend staying over with me this weekend and wanted to take her to my favourite evening haunt on Lark Lane, Que Pasa for a glass of wine. The old place didn't let me down.
  
  As ever the atmosphere was great, the music fab (Stevie Wonder and James Brown? Oh yeah!) and the service at the bar very friendly. As if it couldn't get any better, the choice of wines here is good and very reasonably priced.  There is a good variety of lagers and beers here too, both bottled and on tap.
  
  If TexMex food is your thing then you'll enjoy the menu at QP as well...the meals are extremely tasty and very generous!
  
  And with it being at the Sefton Park end of Lark Lane, Que Pasa is without doubt my favourite post-park stroll wine destination!

  When there is such a proliferation of Tapas bars in Liverpool these days Que Pasa has done well to remain a regularly busy feature of Lark Lane's restaurant scene.
  
  I would class this as Spanish food although I have heard people refer to it as Mexican - tomato? tomarto? either way it is a good selection of Hispanic dishes cooked in good portions.
  
  Me and my friends will often just drop in here for a drink as the staff are more than happy to accommodate you and there is also a lovely little beer garden tucked away down the back.
  
  The food is well priced as you would expect out of town and the staff are considerate and pleasant.  There is a good wine list too and if you're feeling barave they also have a few Tequilas on there.

  Delicious grilled chicken to die for. Food seasoned to perfection and arriving so red hot you have to wait a bit longer before tucking in. But that probably adds to the hunger and flavour, after all, hunger is the secret ingredient. With the lovely aromas lurking beneath you as you salivate, the food certainly does not disappoint when you finally tuck in.
